I've just finished reading Nigel Lawson's An Appeal to Reason: A Cool Look at Global Warming. I am seriously considering buying a number of copies and posting them to my friends and family who believe in the Anthropogenic Global Warming bogey man. It clearly, simply, succinctly and eloquently dismantles the case for AGW, and also exposes the utter madness of the so-called solution - the dramatic reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. I don't know how to recommend it any higher without using a silly number of superlatives.

Read it!

I've already got it...

...and it's the next on my reading list after:

Scared to Death: From BSE to Global Warming: Why Scares are Costing Us the Earth, by Christopher Booker and Richard North.

Also a superb book. It reminds you of the untold destruction of lives and livelihoods that our Governments still do in our names with up-to-date examples. If this book doesn't turn you into a Libertarian, nothing will.
