Perhaps if Victor read more of the site and spent less time trying to join it he would learn what he must do in order to be welcome again.

I got a message from Victor congratulating me on my speech at Borders. I couldn't figure out why he'd send such a message given his sudden embrace of the pond-scum at O-Lying. I still can't. Now I return home to find he's tried to sneak back to SOLO under a different guise?!

The man has talent. When he displays integrity to match, he'll be a force to be reckoned with. And he'll be welcome here. As it is, it seems he simply tries to ingratiate himself with whomever he's currently talking to - & succeeds only in pissing *everyone* off. Did he learn nothing from the spectacle of Sciabarra?

Of course it's easy to fool someone who offers their hand in friendship, without much thought to the possibility that they may be the object of deceit. Isn't it?

But this is your failure, not mine. This is an Objectivist forum. Perhaps you should try the Objectivist Lying forum again.

Guys, I really appreciate the fact that you welcome new users like this and I hope it continues.

Unfortunately "Barry" is Victor Pross trying to troll his way back over to SOLO after being rejected on www.objectivistliving.com. Some of the other users noted the similarities in his writing on another thread. After doing some quick investigations we have found conclusive evidence that their suspicions are correct.

Victor, please do not come back to SOLO. I don't understand why you keep doing this stuff to yourself....

Dan's advice is good. Just make a post on your blog (top-right, under your name) and see what happens. It doesn't need to be much. Perhaps some commentary on a news item or similar.

Of course, feel free to post a 2,000 word article!

Thank you for your most warm welcome! I'm very excited to be here, and I'm looking forward to jumping into the thick of it all. I have a bevy of issues I would like to discuss--issues that will, of course, relate to Objectivism.

I hardly know where, and on what issue, to begin. First, I'm curious to know who the “resident experts" are in the field of ethics, epistemology, general philosophy and art. Perhaps this will assist me in selecting an area for my first topic forum.

In my post, I will most likely make a few points for consideration on the given topic (if you'll indulge me) and I welcome all responses. I also want to ask a few questions about Objectivism’s position on a few philosophical topics.

I look forward to a most fruitful and stimulating discussion. Let's begin.

Barry, welcome aboard! I look forward to seeing your contributions to the site and interacting with you.

One thing about SOLO, you see all types in here, a lot of divirsity of opinion.  Most of us are  generally rational and good-hearted folks, as I'm sure you'll find.  I recommend starting a new thread about something you're interested in, and wait and see what turn up.
